The Friends of Petrie Island is a volunteer group that operates an interpretive center and programs for all ages, special events tent, wildflower garden, and maintains the trail system, under an agreement with the City of Ottawa. We also manage the picnic area and act in an advisory role.
We do NOT operate the beach or the parking lots. We do NOT provide information on public events at the beach. See the box below for City of Ottawa contacts.

City of Ottawa Information (beach, parking, events)
The City of Ottawa operates the beach and parking, and handles group reservations on the beaches. Book your event at the beach. Contact City Wide Allocations at 613-580-2595 or e-mail sports@ottawa.ca.

Petrie Island Marina (841-0778, https://www.petrieislandmarina.com/) has a boat launch, rents pedal boats, kayaks, PWCs and small powerboats, and provides all-season boat storage and docking. They also sell fishing accessories. They are on the east side of Tweddle Road.
Canoes and kayaks can be launched for free from the west parking lot dock.
